Wedding Information
In general, you’ll want to begin the invitation design process three to six months before the ceremony. This will allow you enough time for proofing, revisions if necessary, printing, and shipping. You also want to allow yourself time for addressing, mailing and guest response. Invitations should be mailed six to eight weeks before the ceremony.
I require a minimum of two weeks from the time when your pdf proof is approved to print your order.
Rush orders: Please let me know ahead of time if your order is a rush. If I can accept your rush order, additional charges may apply.
Invitation sets include (unless otherwise noted):
Invitation Card: single sided
Outer Envelope: with reply address
Reply Card: single sided
Reply Envelope: unstamped, with mailing address
(additional pieces are available for additional cost)
When determining your quantity, keep in mind you will be sending one invitation per household (not per guest). However, children over eighteen living at home get his or her own. It is best to overcompensate, don’t order the exact amount. You’re better off getting twenty or thirty extra and having leftovers than to reorder later. Printing reorders is pricey.
Make sure you take the time to carefully review all proofs for accuracy. Bellis Studios is not responsible for overlooked errors (Please see my 'terms'). It’s a good idea to always have a friend or someone else with hawk eyes to look it over too.
Please Note:
Letterpress printing is an artisan craft. Each sheet is hand-feed into the press and inks are hand-mixed. Slight variations and irregularities are part of the beauty of letterpress and are to be expected.
Assembly and postage are not included.
